Tia's Tips: Embossing is the fastest way to add dimension, texture and interest to a card. Whether you use dry or wet embossing techniques or a combination of both you will elevate the look of your project. Take dry embossing to another level by either gently swiping an ink pad over the raised image or swipe your ink pad inside the folder before embossing.

My Card Details:
Welcome friends! This week The Paper Shelter has another brilliant challenge-EMBOSSING! Your choice, dry or wet and I've featured both on my card.
The wet embossing was the basic, ink stamping the sentiment, covering with embossing powder and setting it with a heat gun. Melting the embossing powder leaves a beautiful raised shiny finish that always WOWS your card recipient.
The DRY embossing is really the star of this card. I began by selecting this most adorable image from The Paper Shelter-A Light Packer. In my stash was an embossing folder featuring a "world map"-I believe it came from a Card Design Magazine.
I selected a 4.5x6.5 in pattern paper "Uncharted" from the Paper Studio and embossed it. I selected the Twisted Citron Distress Ink and gently swiped it across the raised lines of the embossed image. I just love how it turned out!
I fussy cut both my image and embossed sentiment, so the background could really shine and I think it does.
My cousin is a bit of a jet-setter, traveling all over the world and I definitely had her in mind for this card! And after all-isn't that why we love making cards? To create them for the special people in our lives!
I'm looking forward to seeing what type of EMBOSSING you choose to feature on your card for our card challenge theme this week.
