My Favorite Color

Tia's Tips: There is no better way to get out of a creative rut than to create a challenge for yourself. The best way to do this is by joining an online group challenge! I was amazed at how many card challenges there are on-line! And was even more tickled when I discovered one of the Digital Stamp companies that I adore had a challenge...and with a prize of free images! What a treat it-count me in! In the end I enjoyed pushing myself, pushing my creativity and finding more like minded creative souls! I made new friends, learned some tricks and found a ton of new ideas! It was SO MUCH FUN, that I joined this international team of talented designers! Where? The Paper Shelter!

The Paper Shelter Challenge #573: "Your Favorite Color Combo"

The Paper Shelter Digital Image: Relaxing Bath

Show us what your favorite Color Combination is!

Up for grabs at The Paper Shelter this week is our usual fantastic prize! Our winner will win a $30 store voucher if you've used a Paper Shelter product on your entry (you could choose the pre-coloured image, the black and white digi, or the digital paper that comes in the set), or 3 digis of your choice, if you've used another brand. You can enter the challenge up to 3 times, provided you've used a Paper Shelter product on at least one of them.

Ok, let's get to this week's card! Maybe you've guessed it by now but my favorite color is-PURPLE! I love all shades of purple and definitely love it paired up with white.

Naturally it made sense to pair my favorite color with a favorite guilty pleasure-a nice, long soak in the tub with bubbles! (sigh).

I was tickled to find the image: Relaxing Bath. You can pick it up as a single image or better yet-purchase the "Stay at Home Collection" and get 6 images for the price of 3!

How adorable is this set!?!

I can't wait to color them all!

My design team card is a square 5x5 inch card base. I decreased the design paper layer by .5 centimeters. Before adhering, I wrapped a knotted tie of sheer white ribbon to the top.

I don't have a 'scan-n-cut' machine, so most of my images I fussy-cut. I'm one of those who actually finds it meditative to do!

The bubbles floating away I cut out completely and attached them separately.

The entire image is popped up on foam tape. I also adhered some clear dots that I had.

COPIC COLORS:

Towel: Y11; Y15; YR23; V000; V01; V04

Bubbles: B000; G11; Y11; R81

Girl: E35; E33; E23

Hair: E79; E49; Black 110

Rubber Duckie: YR04; Y15

Tub: C1, C 3, B000

Bath mat: V04; C2; V01

I chose not to add a sentiment, but know it will be good to send to a friend to remind them to take care of themselves! I love how the patterned background is just whisking her and her worries away!

Thanks for stopping in and following along with me! This is going to be such a great challenge and I can't wait to see what color combinations all of you come up with!

You only have one week, so...

GO GET CRAFTY!!!

Oh I love purples too. Stunning background for this image and a wonderful job colouring her up. Your ribbon adds to that pampering soft feel.
